For qualified families, financial aid is available in limited amounts based on need. Regular application to the school must first be made. Full financial documentation along with a $45 fee is required to apply for Financial Aid. All data will be collected and assessed. Once determination has been made, a written reply will be mailed within 10 days.

We are 100% funded by tuitions and fees, and we receive NO government funding of any kind. Parents are responsible for the prompt payment of all tuition and fees to ensure a safe and healthy school environment.

Cost of Collection:

If an account remains delinquent, the payment contract signer agrees to pay all costs incurred in the collection of their account including attorney fees, court costs, and any additional expenses.

Release of Student Information:

All records generated by Denver Christian Academy, including report cards, diplomas, transcripts, and annual achievement test score, are withheld until a delinquent account is paid in full. Any records produced by Denver Christian Academy are the property of the school. Records from former schools may be released with an unpaid account. A student of a delinquent account is not permitted to re-enroll or begin school.

Volunteer Program:

Denver Christian Academy enjoys the participation of its families in projects around the campus. Volunteer work helps to minimize the rising costs of private education. You are encouraged to contact the Administrative Office and get “plugged in.” DCA does not accept volunteer service in lieu of tuition, but volunteers are always needed and welcome. Contact the front office and see what opportunities are available for service.

Sports Fees:

A separate fee schedule is established for each individual sport and payable prior to the start of each season. A student is not allowed to participate in any scheduled sport until the appropriate fees are collected. Refunds of the participant fee are as follows:

  • Full refund before the first practice
  • One-half refund after the first practice and prior to the first game
  • No refund after the participant plays the first game
  • The same Returned Check Fee policy applies

Returned Check Fee:

A minimum of $25.00 processing fee is applied to any returned check. Any family presenting two checks that are returned for insufficient funds may be required to make all future payments by CASH ONLY.

Partial Payment:

When an account is considered in arrears, any payment received is applied to the oldest invoice.

Credit Balances:

Unclaimed credit balances will be retained for operating costs of Denver Christian Academy 30 days after attempts have been made to notify family of such.

Referral Incentive:

Currently enrolled families may take advantage of sharing with friends about DCA and earn tuition discounts. The new family must indicate on their application the name of the current DCA family who referred them to the school. Once the new student is successfully enrolled for one semester, the referring family will receive a $500 credit toward tuition and/or fees.

Off-Level Resource Fee:

DCA strongly believes in providing a customized education for each individual child. A fee is required in order to accomplish this for students who are off-level. Off-level fees are needed for students who are either 2 or more grade-levels above or 2 or more grade-levels below in reading, mathematics or both. These fees will provide for personnel and/or appropriate classroom and testing materials as needed for student success. These services may include direct student instruction or indirect student instruction such as regular consultation with the classroom teacher and/or parent. Examples of students that may require a fee are highly gifted students with a 134 or higher IQ, students with an IEP or 504 and some students with exceptionalities.

Determination of this fee will be made upon enrollment and no later than 30 days after enrollment with the guidance of the Head of Curriculum and Instruction and Leadership Team. The level of resource fee (1-10) will be discussed with the parent prior to enrollment by the Head of Curriculum and Instruction. Please note that students with an active IEP may qualify for the Disability Scholarship Grant (www.pefnc.org) that may cover this fee. For more information, contact Cynthia Matson, Head of Curriculum and Instruction or Patty Moreira, Head of School Operations.
